🐾 PAWS Expectations
On Wednesday, all students reviewed our PAWS Expectations as part of our commitment to maintaining a positive, respectful, and safe learning environment.
P – Practice Kindness
A – Active Learner
W – Work and Play Safely
S – Show Respect
We encourage families to take a few minutes to review these expectations at home and discuss how they can be demonstrated each day. When students receive the same message at school and at home, it strengthens positive habits and supports student success.
Thank you for partnering with us to help every student demonstrate their PAWS each day!
💧 Stay Hydrated!
With the heat index remaining high, it is especially important that students stay hydrated throughout the school day. Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to school each day to help them stay healthy, comfortable, and ready to learn.
Please make sure your child's name is clearly labeled on the water bottle. This helps us return misplaced items quickly and reduces the number of lost and found items.
Water fountains and bottle-filling stations are available throughout campus; however, having a personal water bottle makes it easier for students to stay hydrated throughout the day.
Thank you for helping us keep our students hydrated, safe, and focused each day! ☀️💧
🚗 Morning Car Line Reminders
PLC Car Line (Lake Jessup & Smith Entrance)
This car line is designated for Kindergarten and 1st Grade students. Staff members will assist students with opening doors; however, students should be prepared to exit the vehicle promptly when they reach the drop-off zone.
Main Car Line (Broadway Entrance)
This car line is designated for Grades 2-5, VPK, PreK, and Academic Unit students. As we encourage student independence, students should be ready to open their own doors and exit the vehicle when they arrive at the designated drop-off zone.
🚍 Transportation Changes & Early Pick-Up Reminders
To ensure the safety of all students, last-minute transportation changes must be called into the front office no later than 2:00 PM on regular school days and 1:00 PM on Wednesdays.
In addition, early student pick-up ends at 2:20 PM on regular school days and 1:20 PM on Wednesdays.
These deadlines provide our front office staff with the necessary time to communicate transportation changes to teachers and students before dismissal.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work together to ensure a safe and organized dismissal process for all students.
